An Honest Review

As I enter my eighth decade, I am grateful that I had the opportunity to read Mary Bub’s book, Letters to Betty at Eighty. Not only was it an honest reflection of the author’s ability to share her thoughts and feelings, it provided an avenue for me to explore my own thoughts and feelings about the aging process.

The questions that were posed at the end of each letter were a catalyst for me to explore my feelings about becoming an octogenarian. Rita Lichterman. Through daily letters to an imaginary friend, the author invites us to join on her journey of self-discovery at age eighty. The thought provoking questions after each letter encourage the reader to go even deeper with reflection.

Letters to Betty @80 is a gift to women of any age who wish to discover or rediscover their true self.
