Upside Down Cake
Dear Betty,
Sometimes I think that my life is made up of circumstances that I might describe as being an upside-down cake.
I begin a day or a task by putting in all of the ingredients. Checking to make sure the container will be the right size, is there enough sugar to make it sweet? Will it have all of the necessary stuff to give it substance? When all is ready, I say, O.K. lets go! Ready to face the day. Then suddenly, just when I think that I have done it, all is good, the day is almost done, I flip over the pan and guess what Betty, what should have been the pretty side of the cake doesn’t come out of the pan as it should and it is a crumbled mess.
Some days are just like that. When life turns you upside down, just take a bite out of it anyway. I am not anticipating any upside-down events today, hopefully.
What about this letter can you relate to?
How do you take a bite out of your upside down life?
Right side up,
Me
